Went to ol Duco Metal to pick up some scrap pieces,

Me and jake made up this table

Really been puttin off settin up the new shop

But its a start anyway

Built these up today, threw em on my scoot to try out for the 

hippy killer ride...

they will be goin on jakes xlch next week, i dig em though, might have to make another
set, im not gonna want to give em up

ran outta gas on the 78

T-bars for andy

just welded up these bars for andy,

1"bars, 8" rise, 1/2" threaded inserts with flared out bottoms,

3 1/2" spacing for direct bolt up on a narrow glide front end

made em long so he can cut em where he wants em,

im hopin he goes about 6" off each side.

i'll put up some pics when he puts em on his scoot

Here's how today went down, woke up early, met up with Peter and Oli Wolf, 

went for a cruise, ate some crepes

Took my bike to Bob's Garage, saw a nice Pan

Met up with Jake wolf, got cleaned up

feeling fresh and clean, had a beer at the firewater,

stepped outside and bumped square into ol snap on Matt and his cute ride.

Took him down to the Pub, and the guiness was giving me some love..

thats what happens when i carry a camera around with me all saturday

nothing worth takin pictures of, but there you have it,

been crazy/ ironhead progress

so things have been crazy lately. both eli and i have had family in town s we have
not had time to post anything...fam is gone now so here ya go...first is the finished product
from the springer chop...took out three inches and i am happy with the over all stance. second
is a pic of the oil bag all done and mounted. third is a shot of the bike as it sits now new lowered front end new tank and oil tank...just need a fender, sissy bar, and paint....enjoy.

so i didn't like the stock length on my springer front end so eli came over to the shop and we went to town on the thing....sorry the pics are in reverse order....but this is how it went down.
marked out cut lines 3 inches up from bottom, used painters tape to keep lines true. cut and drilled rear legs. cut out three inches from front legs. drilled holes in front legs for rosettes.
slugged front legs. welded the bad boy back together..will have finished pics soon...its at the machine shop, i'm having an axle/bushings made up and i don't have a lathe....

old scoot...

so i don't know why i kinda miss this bike (it was a constant pain). never ran,
never really finished, yet it has a place in my heart..traded it for the 68 ironhead
i have now...which i'm much happier with but somewhere i know i failed the
lil guy by not completing em...oh well

i really don't know about this obsession with the 3 wheeled bikes, 

but i find myself strangely drawn to them.

i may find myself eatin up the asphalt on one someday soon.

we know what not to use this on, but it was on a dang sweet trump

better than work...

so i came across these pics from the last pioneer town trip....made me wish i was going there in the morning, not going to work....this place is wild...if you have not made the trip heres a little taste, eli wolf, pistol pete, teddy boy,davy S. ....our good friend mike parks filmed the last trip and is making a short out of it. saw the first few mins. good stuff. will post it soon

ironhead progress #3

so with my frame only being 7 inches wide it has been hard to find an oil tank that doesn't look
goofy..either they stick off the sides( most chopper oil bags are 11 inches) or they just are too big to fit altogether. i found some that would do the trick...bomb shape or vertical ...which i like but i don't have hundreds to spend, so today eli and i went down to the scrap yard and bought a piece of pipe that was 6 inches in diameter and 7 inches long...what we ended up with was the stubby lil guy you see here....dished out side to make room for the chain.... and one heck of a filler hole..
if you can't afford it do it yourself....it may not be as perfect as the chrome one you bought online but it gets the job done for a fraction of the price. and its got soul...
